Bio:
From the age of 16, I wanted to be a pediatric nurse. My love for children led me to work towards an Internship. There were children from all around the world. One child from Africa was nine years old and had both his legs amputated due to an accident in the country of his birth. It was heart-wrenching to see him like that because he kept saying " I love to play soccer and now I cant play it anymore...." I tried my best to remain strong and to not show him how sad I felt for him. He needed someone to encourage him that life can still be enjoyed even with his disability. I took him out to the city and showed him places around the hospital.
At the end of his treatment the child was happy, smiling and just like any child should be he was fearless! This is one of the many situations that I encountered many of them were unethical which made me decide to stop working at the hospital. I could no longer endure the harsh treatments that some of the nurses administered to the children. I tried to speak to the director of the hospital but being only a 16 year old female I was ignored and not taken seriously. I studied medicine for three years while working at the hospital in the city where I lived but I lost my passion because patients were not getting the care that they deserved.
My life went in a new direction after that I began studying Spanish, English and German which led me to move to Teneriffa, Spain where I worked as a secretary in a hotel for three months. After that stint I moved to Germany to pursue a degree in International Business and I currently work as a model. I have participated in Miss Galaxy 2009 where I placed in the top three finalists, Miss Friendship International 2010 where I was first runner up and dubbed Miss Disco Queen and Miss Queen of the World 2010 where I placed in the top ten.
When my studies are completed it is my intention to become an entrepreneur working with people from foreign countries who live in Germany by educating them about their legal rights and teaching them how to lead successful careers in a foreign country.
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Being Cuban by birth I know too well the disadvantage of not being able to make my own decisions. The ability to acknowledge human rights is not accepted...it is sad to say this but my people - CUBANS- that still live in Cuba have to live under a regime that dictates their way of life.
Life is hard....often children do not go to school because they have to work to help out their families. I am very ecstatic to know that there is FINALLY a pageant that focuses on important issues not only beautiful women but women who have a passion for Human Rights around the world. Now I am in a position for my voice to be heard. This pageant can bring about change in a positive way.

Ambitions:
I have to use every opportunity presented to me to advocate for peace not only in Kenya but all of Africa. I wish to become the first Miss Humanity International and Peace Ambassador using this as a platform which will enable me to form alliances with Charitable non-profit organizations such as Fashion for Relief in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania and Kenya's Fashion For Peace which are campaigns that spread love and peace through fashion. As a peace ambassador I will brighten the faces of orphaned children in Kenya by involving them with my annual Simbaress Fashion for Love Event. I've proudly represented Kenya impressively at international pageants placing:
1st Runner's Up (Miss Summer) at Miss Bikini International 2010, Beijing & Sanya in China
Finalist in Face of Africa 2009 - 2010 Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa & Nigeria
1st Runner's Up at Ford SuperModel Search (Catwalk Kenya) 2007
Humanitarian Advocacy:
: PEACE IN KENYA
It is disheartening to say that the people in my country have been the victims of the effects of political warfare. This has led to high increases of orphaned & disabled children. For my advocacy in working towards peace in my country I've joined three organization Kenya's Rotary Club at the Rally for Children with Special Needs, Wangige Children Home and Bila Ukabila... Which is Swahili for Without Tribalism/nepotism- It was formed by colleagues after the post election violence in Kenya.
I love children and how innocent they are, it hurts me to see a child suffer or being left out by their parents. Universally everyone loves children, but not all the children in the world are happy. Some of the kids in the orphanage were abandoned by their parents, they are not really orphans. The children with special needs, some are mentally handicapped and others physically handicapped :-( I like spending time with them, bringing food and snacks, having a play day with them. During my third year of university, my friends and I went to the Wangige children's homes, cleaned their little hostels, gave them clothes we bought at the flee market and i even braided the girls' hair! It was so much fun to see the kids happy and having a good time.
By highlighting all these causes, I believe that the Kenyan society would become selfless and think of the children with special needs, the orphans and even be positive in terms of letting go off the hatred that was brought by the post election violence. Different ethnic groups went against each other all because of politics and many people lost their lives and homes. That was saddening. We travelled with my family up country to go and vote with my grandmother and when we were travelling back to the city most houses had been burnt down to the ground! Dominant ethnic groups in certain areas turned against the minority groups all because of politics.
By promoting peace in Kenya as a cause, highlighting that the past should never be repeated in the face of 2012 elections is also something I would like to be involved in that is why I have joined the Bila Ukabila intiative as one of the Peace Ambassadors.

Miss Humanity International 2011 Contestant - Miss Sint Maarten, Trumane Trotman's Photo & Profile/Biography
Country: Sint Maarten (Dutch part)
Age: 20 years
Height: 181.00 cm
Occupation: Aviation Operations Agent / Aviation Customer Service Agent
Philosophy:
Service Above Self & Sky is the Limit
Hobbies:
Public speaking, traveling, doing community projects
Bio:
Ambitious, resourceful and spontaneous I am Trumane Trotman 20 years of age. Miss. Country St. Maarten Senior Carnival Queen 2011, Miss St. Maarten Tropic Beauty 2010 & Miss Congeniality 2011 at the Miss. Tropic Beauty competition in Las Vegas, President of St. Maarten Rotaract Sunrise Club 2010/2011 and Vice President Public Relations of the Philipsburg Toastmaster Club 2010/2011.
Unquestionably, I am a very active person who enjoy's doing things for the community, being a role model for others and a firm activist against child sexual abuse.
I live life with the following mottos " Service Above Self & Sky is the Limit "
I was born on St. Maarten November 28 1990, 5th of 6 children with aspirations to get my BS in International Business Management & BS in Aviation Management. Furthermore, as a Methodist Agogic School 2003 and St. Dominic High School 2008 alumni I’ve been thought to reach for the sky of which I’ve been doing in all aspects of my life.
Juliana Airport Handlers is my current place of employment where I’m an Aviation Costumer Service Agent & an Aviation Operations Agent which gives me a great opportunity to reach for the sky – literally. While developing my passion and knowledge of the aviation industry and my people skills.
Indeed life is an adventure, where traveling and interacting with people are two of my main hobbies and interest which motivates me to go on.
“ Sky High “
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Child Sexual Abuse
Pursuing my passion for being a role model for the youth and a lover of children of the four major abuse that may occur towards them I choose to be a firm advocated against “Child Sexual Abuse”.
There are several different forms of sexual abuse that does not necessarily require “penetration” which are against the rights of a child. Unfortunately, that is the only form spoken about on a large scale. As a victim of child abuse, I believe it’s my duty as a survivor to speak with other individuals who may have been abused to help them and bring about awareness of the different forms of sexual abuse to others.
As the saying goes “Prevention is better than Cure”
In accordance with my Rotary family theme of 2011/2012 agreed upon and chaired under President Kalyan Banerjee “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity” I see this as the light at the end of the tunnel and a inspiration to me, that to be a true advocate to any humanitarian cause one must first “ Reach Within “
The Miss. Humanitarian International pageant would be use as a bridge to bring about international awareness on Child Sexual Abuse. Unquestionably, by networking with other individuals from around the world at the pageant I will be able to expand their knowledge of yet another humanitarian cause and even organize a regional or international activity to assist in increasing the awareness level of this horrific abuse.
According to research, this pageant is not just a beauty pageant, or a place where one can state a cause and move on in life but this pageant is a true humanitarian advocate working alongside the United Nations to bring about change.
Research + Action = Change
For this reason and many others I’m honored to be in the Miss. Humanitarian International Pageant 2011 held in Barbados.

Miss Humanity International 2011 Contestant - Miss Philippines, Czarina Gatbonton's Photo & Profile/Biography
Country: Republic of the Philippines
Age: 20 years
Height: 172.70 cm
Occupation: Student
Horoscope: Scorpio
Philosophy:
Success is not only about doing the things you think you can do but rather doing the things people believe that you can accomplish.
Hobbies:
Travelling, Playing Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Wakeboarding, Ziplining
Bio:
Poverty oftentimes is perceived as a weakness and a disadvantage but in the case of this nutmeg colored beauty who was born and raised in a small fishing island community in the historical province of Bulacan, north of the Philippines, it has turned out to be her strength and power. Growing up knowing the meaning of hardship which means at times not having enough food to go around the table, taking a thirty minute motorboat ride daily to school that gets worst during rainy days, when she would go to her classrooms in a drenched school uniform, forced to sleep over at a friend’s house when she would miss the last boat trip back to the island and wear the same clothes to school the next day, it’s amazing how this Filipina beauty managed to remain optimistic and cheerful.
Czarina Catherine Gatbonton may not have been born with a silver spoon on the table, but she is indeed destined to be a Beauty Queen. Czarina’s fate started to dawn on her when she was proclaimed Bb. Pilipinas World 2010 (Miss Philippines World) which earned her the right to represent the country in the Miss World pageant in China last year. Though her victory that night came as a big surprise to many people who expected the highly-favored fair-skinned, highly-educated candidates from affluent families to win, Czarina with her naturally endearing personality, a set of dazzling pearly whites, charm, and a perfect sweet infectious smile that can take away one’s breath eventually won their hearts over. So amidst the strain on the relations between China and the Philippines that time, she bravely went on and even became closest to the Chinese delegate and ranked second favored to win the crown in a local Chinese poll.
For this twenty year old epitome of a true Filipina beauty, success is not always about doing the things you think you can do but rather doing the things people say you can’t do. She takes pride being able to fulfill a promise she made to her fisherman father and a social worker mother to send her younger brother to school as her passion and dedication towards helping children and young women continues. During her free time, she helps her mother teach young children in the island’s Day Care Center, regularly volunteers for various socio-civic organizations such as “The Child House Foundation” and graciously give free trainings to young Filipina women who dream of becoming a beauty queen.
Her quest for the Miss Humanity International crown is a quest not for herself and family, but for the thousands and millions of people she can possibly help working with the Miss Humanity family, World Health Organization, UNICEF and various foundations and institutions in the Philippines and abroad.
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Children Rights20
The future of humanity belongs to the young children of the world. Thus Czarina wants to involve in various programs and projects that espouses Children Rights as enshrined in the United Nations Convention on The Rights of the Child (UN CRC). Given the chance, she would like to focus on programs that promote the four Basic Rights of the child which is Survival, Protection, Development and Participation.
Born out of poverty, Czarina herself had endured the hardship and misery that most of the less fortunate children of the world have been experiencing today. But with sheer determination, hard work, perseverance, faith and help of other people who believed in her, she was able to rise from apathy and misery and emerged victorious.
Her life story is truly an inspiration to other young people that anything is possible and that dreams really come true. A true Beauty Queen dedicated to good cause for humanity, Czarina is now an active volunteer of Child Hauz, an organization that attends to the needs of children afflicted with cancer. She is now currently forging Networks and Coordination to local NGO's with worldwide affiliations to further strengthen her advocacy on Children's Rights and Development as she continues

Occupation: Self Employed
Horoscope: Cancer
Philosophy:
I am responsible for my own life. I have my dreams and I wish to reach them in order for me to be fulfilled knowing I am doing what I love and making a difference, one step at a time. Laugh as much as I breathe and love as long as I live. The biggest adventure I can ever take is to live the life of my dreams. Inspire – Motivate – Guide – Discover – Explore
Hobbies:
Outdoor Recreation, Random Research , Photography, Painting
Bio:
TASH’S LIFE IN A NUTSHELL: I attended a Christian School up to Grade 11 and finished my Grade 12 year in a government school where I obtained my National Senior Certificate. During my schooling years I also attended a Deportment and Modelling School where I obtained diplomas in Deportment, Image Building and Pageantry. Among being a finalist and placing in pageants, my biggest achievement was winning Model of the Year for 3 consecutive years (2004-2005). After leaving school, I started to travel to different countries. During this time I found a niche market and I am now currently busy setting up a Pageant Academy abroad. I envision my business to be a premiere one stop professional Deportment, Modelling and Pageantry academy. My mission is to boost my students self image and confidence levels to greater height by giving the best possible tuition and produce world class beauty queens who will not only launch a professional modelling career, but strive to make a difference in their communities and be a committed ambassador for their country.
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Oprah Winfrey once said: “Before you agree to do anything that might add even the smallest amount of stress to your life, ask yourself: What is my truest intention? Give yourself time to let a yes resound within you. When it's right, I guarantee that your entire body will feel it.” Well - a “yes” resounded within me and I felt it. I am conscious about the responsibilities & challenges ahead and when I think about what I will do for humanity and my causes, nothing will beat the euphoria of knowing that I inspired, motivated, encouraged and possibly saved someone in need. This is my truest intention.
When asked what I feel South Africa needs most, I would have to say “Stepping stones.” In South Africa we often lack the opportunities for people to get from where they are now, to a better life. They need opportunities such as education, nutrition, and medical services. Through educating both the people, we are trying to uplift, and the rest of the world through AWARENESS
- I hope to bridge the gap, and be the stepping stone that SA needs. I hope to accomplish this by
working through established foundations and focusing on two different areas, both of which carry huge passion and personal motivation for me.
As part of my Humanitarian Advocacy I have teamed up with Nourish. NOURISH is a South African Non-Profit Organisation dedicated to uplifting local communities, promoting social responsibility, and encouraging environmental education. Nourish strives to improve the lives of people and the environment. From assisting AIDS orphanages with core needs such as food, or clothing, to creating awareness to travellers, to “greening” rural communities - I am heart and soul involved with the work that Nourish is doing! For more information please visit http://www.nourish.org.za/
The other focus which I have, as a passionate and proud South African humanitarian, is that of creating awareness for the lack of health care, awareness and funding when it comes to two illnesses; Cystic Fibrosis and Hydrocephalus. These are issues very close to my heart as I have seen firsthand the effects of these illnesses. Since the cost of treatment is often beyond the reach of the poorer communities in developing countries many people, especially infants may die.
For this reason, this is a cause that I choose to use my voice to bring attention to.
While my two causes and passions may seem varied; in truth they aren’t. My heart lies within Africa, and for the beautiful people that make up my country. People’s needs are sometimes more than meets the eye, and that’s why I choose to be an advocate in supporting charities and organisations that try to meet these needs, whether it be medical, mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, or environmental.

Miss Humanity International 2011 Contestant - Miss Tanzania, Lilian Mduda's Photo & Profile/Biography
Country: United Republic of Tanzania
Age: 23 years
Height: 175.00 cm
Occupation: Student
Horoscope: Virgo
Philosophy:
Life is a gift, life is fragile and every minute should be treasured, life is about adding value to someone's life.
Hobbies:
Reading novels, listening to music and watching movies
Bio:
Born in 1988 to the family of four children, two girls and two boys. I am the third born in my family. Throughout my life I have looked up to my parents who are still alive and with good health till now. I went to primary school in the same town I was born into, that is Kibaha. After graduation I went for my secondary education in a boarding school located in Morogoro. I was chosen to join high school in Tambaza which is in Dar es salaam after which I joined University of Dar es salaam pursuing Bachelor of commerce in Marketing .
My modeling career started when I was studying at Tambaza, because it is a day school I could get time on the weekends to do what at the time I took to be just a hobby. I started at an agency called Juda modeling and casting where most of the jobs I got there were ushering in different events. After a year my contract was over and I decided to start doing the career as my own person because that allowed me more freedom to work with different agencies and designers. A year after starting my modeling career I started doing fashion shows. I remember my first fashion event was RAFDA, followed by the first Swahili fashion week which was inaugurated in 2008. After that I was able to work with different designers like Ally Remtullah, Mama Africa Sana and Vida Mahimbo.I always thought I wanted to do more in modeling than what I was doing in my country which brought up the idea of modeling outside the country.
It was apparent that it would take time long before the fashion industry grows in Tanzania. So in 2009 August I took my chance by auditioning in Face of Africa model search where I was chosen from 50 something girls to represent Tanzania in the competition. In October I joined the other 23 girls from different African Nations at a camp located in Mombasa. After two weeks only 12 girls remained, I was excited because I was among them. We came to Tanzania for Swahili fashion week in November after going to South Africa for a profile photo shoot. At the end of the fashion event, two more girls were evicted, I was proud that I was not among them coz it would have been a disappointment to me as well as my country. In the end the top ten girls went to Nigeria for the finals where the winner was a girl from Zambia. I was disappointed that I did not win but I thought that the judges had been fair because it was a tough competition and only one person had to win.
The FOA experience was very good to me because not only did it expose me to more of a life I would have to live if I decide to pursue the modeling career when I finish my degree, but also it was a platform for me to know more people and give me more confidence as to the power I have to create my own destiny. After all, it’s the choices we make and the way we devote ourselves to what we do that determine our success. It also opened my mind to the opportunities that one have in making a difference in the community by impacting lives of others by helping them in one way or another and hence add value to their lives..
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Gender Discrimination
The aim of entering in this competition is to support the charities that work to advocate against gender discrimination. The reason behind my choice is that women and girls in Africa, East Africa in particular are still put in the private sector( domestic tasks) while men are put in the public sector. This problem has not started today, but since the time of colonialism and though different agencies and associated have tried to work on this problem still it can be seen even today in the following aspects;Family level. In most families women are given a submissive role while a man is seen as the head of the family whose decision is final. A girl child is supposed to do domestic chores while a boy is allowed to go out and play with his fellow
kids. Also most men prefer a boy to be born in the family than a girl, which in most cases if a girl is born they do not get as excited as when a girl is born.
Cultural level.
In most cultures it is found that women are not given most of the rights that men are given such as making decisions that impact the whole society and ownership of land. Also in tribes like the Maasai a girl child is not allowed to go to school and also is subjected to genital mutilation. Even though some of the societies have been educated to its effects, the problem can still be seen in some of the stubborn societies.
Educational level.
In most schools, girls shy away from scientific subjects having a belief that boys are more suited to these subjects because they are tough. There is need to make girls aware of their capabilities and that they can do great things as much as boys or even more than boys.Religious level. In mot religions a woman is taught to be submissive to a man, that a woman was created to serve and help a man. Even in most Islamic societies, a woman is isolated from most of society functions like burials, leadership and others.Political level.
Most leadership positions are taken by men in the belief than women are too fragile to handle the stress and hard work involved in leadership.
This can be seen in the few number of women that are given leadership positions in the parliament and the fact even the women who have helped in attaining independence in most African countries are not given recognition like men were.Seeing the above evidence of the sexual exploitation that is still going on in my society and the little attention that this cause is given compared to others in the list of other causes mentioned, I decided it would be more value adding to the society for me to support this cause by working with different organizations involved In fighting against sexual exploitation. And I hope by being crowned Miss Humanity International I will have more influence to so.

Age: 26 years
Height: 167.00 cm
Occupation: Attorney-at-Law
Horoscope: Scorpio
Philosophy:
Create for others, Love others, Inspire others
Hobbies:
journaling, drama, reading, watching foreign and other films
Bio:
The last refuge of the Amerindians of Trinidad, the Borough of Arima, plays home to Cindy F. Daniel, Trinidad and Tobago’s representative to the inaugural Miss Humanity Pageant. Ethnically descending from a mix of Spanish, East Indian, African and Amerindian heritage, she was raised in this city by her mother Imelda along with her four older siblings.
After matriculating from the Malabar Government Primary School, she attended St. Joseph's Convent, St Joseph which she credits for helping her to discover and explore her creativity and artistic talents.
There, she performed outstandingly at her Advanced Level Examinations in 2003 and was awarded a National Scholarship which she utilised to pursue her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine and Cave Hill campuses. During her tenure there, she was heavily involved in campus life and remained perpetually active on the executive of various organisations and associations, always volunteering her talents and skill where the opportunity presented itself.
In order to complete her qualifications as an Attorney-at-Law, she then enrolled in September 2006 at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad where she began honing her public speaking skills by entering both the Impromptu and Prepared Speech Competitions in both of which she succeded in placing in the top three. On the last day of October 2008, Cindy was formally called to the Bar and added to the Roll of Attorneys of Trinidad and Tobago just two days before her 24th birthday on November 2nd of the same year.
On becoming an Advocate, Cindy took up her employment with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, being afforded the opportunity to directly serve her country. She has worked in various Government Ministries including Justice and the Office of the Prime Minister where she has gained a stellar reputation for her efficient and accurate legal work. Having a broad spectrum of interests including Criminal, Environmental and Human Rights Law, her ambition is to use her career as a platform to becoming a Senator and/or the Mayor of her beloved town of Arima.
Much time is devoted to playing with her dogs Faye and Lily, and as an arts enthusiast, Cindy enjoys both performing and being entertained taking pleasure in latin dance, acting, journaling, as well as savouring a good book or play. Her love for animals has led her to her most recent pursuit, horse-back riding.
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Although delegate elect for the 2008 Miss Caraibes Hibiscus Pageant, the Miss Humanity International Pageant will be her first foray into the pageant arena as she was previously unable to compete. The Miss Humanity Pageant presented an opportunity for Cindy to highlight the abrogation of human rights and she has specifically selected Human Trafficking with its attendant sexual exploitation as her platform. As someone personally affected by a missing person report, she has immediate plans to mobilise a support group for the families of missing persons in Trinidad and Tobago. She believes that by highlighting ‘modern slavery,’ she can empower others through awareness and possibly save others from this dehumanising form of bondage.

Bio:
I obtained my primary education at Kansenje Basic School, attended the Malundu Private School and Naboye High School. Tertiary education was obtained from LBTC College where I am currently pursuing a degree in Tourism & Travel. I have always had a love for fashion and modeling so I started at the age of 14 years. Thus far I have been crowned Miss Kafue, Miss Tourism Queen International Zambia and placed as a finalist in Zambia Super Model.
These opportunites led me to represent my country internationally at Miss Tourism Queen International in China 2010 where I placed as a finalist and at Miss Queen of The World 2010 in Germany. My ambition is to become a qualified super model who uses her earnings to establish a hospice dedicated to caring for the children who are born with HIV/AIDS in Zambia.
Humanitarian Advocacy:
Zambia has one of the highest HIV rates in the world. Over 1 million Zambians carry the virus, and nearly one in 10 Zambians between the ages of 15 and 24 are living with HIV. Around the country, there is a massive ongoing effort to educate Zambia's young people about HIV prevention.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Student Partnerships Worldwide organization has set up an HIV/AIDS education programme in Zambia as well as a 'Teacher's AIDS Action Programme' in colleges. Every year, they train over 128 volunteer peer educators who work in schools and colleges.
I believe that every human being has the right to health care, considering the fact that am very passionate with children. It is imperitive to advocate for an HIV/AIDS free generation and using Miss Humanity International as a platform, I will wholeheartedly disseminate the information of caring for children born with the pandemic and the importance of educating our mothers on the prevention of mother to child transmission.
